Join Us for Legislative Action Day 2015 on March 5th at the State House

* Please plan to join us on Thursday, March 5, 2015 in Boston for this year's Legislative Action Day, our annual day of advocacy, education, and inspiration at the State House. *

Schedule for the Day:

Light breakfast and registration/sign-in will begin at 9 a.m. Breakfast will be catered by Haley House Bakery Cafe in Roxbury, a "model of social enterprise... [that] promotes the physical, economic and social well-being of the community."

The morning plenary will run from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., featuring testimonies from families, youth, and adults who have experienced homelessness, speeches from legislators, and a presentation from youth from Temple Israel in Boston on their creative advocacy in support of housing and services for youth without homes. Special thanks to our legislative host, Representative Jim O'Day of West Boylston. Other legislative speakers for the event will include Senator Harriette Chandler, Senator Linda Dorcena Forry, Senator Jamie Eldridge, Representative Denise Provost, and Representative William Smitty Pignatelli.

Legislative visits will take place from 12:30-3:00 p.m., a time for you to talk to your State Senator, State Representative, and/or their staff about why you want to see them prioritize housing and homelessness resources. * If you need help in setting up meetings with your State Representative and State Senator, please contact Tina at  This email address is being protected from spambots. We can help you get your own appointment, or connect with other constituents from your district who already have a meeting scheduled. * Even without an appointment, though, you can drop-by legislators' offices that day to provide written materials and to speak briefly with the staff.
