  • You should tell your caseworker about particular medical needs or other conditions that would make it difficult for you to be far from your neighborhood.
However, you could lose your shelter benefits if you refuse a placement. In addition, you will not be able to get back into shelter for one year. If this happens to you, contact your local legal services office.
