What will happen if you don’t do what is in the plan?

  • After you sign your plan, your housing search worker, shelter worker, and DTA caseworker will meet with you regularly to monitor how the plan is going.
  • You should tell your caseworker if you feel the plan is not working out because of medical, work, or certain other reasons.
  • If your workers feel that you are not following your plan, they may give you a noncompliance. If you receive two noncompliances, you could be terminated from shelter.

Contact your local legal services office if you are terminated from shelter because you did not follow your self-sufficiency plan.
