Initiate a Collection Drive

The Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless operates a Furniture Bank that collects donated household furnishings and other material items, and distributes them to homeless children, families and individuals who are in the greatest need.

Although we regularly pick up furniture, household items, and other material items, there are some items that we never receive enough of or that have a higher seasonal demand. Thus, we have instituted collection drives to enlist support from the community. Companies, schools, groups, and individuals can organize a drive to collect any of the items we need. Currently, the items we are in need most of are:

• Back to school supplies during the summer & fall
• Blankets
• New toys for holiday gifts

If you have other items that you would like to collect or need more information, please contact us at our warehouse location. All items collected should be clean and either boxed or packaged in large plastic bags.
