Become a Member of the Coalition Thank you for your interest in the work the Coalition does on behalf of families and individuals throughout the Commonwealth experiencing or at-risk of homelessness. The Coalition staff works hard to assure that you and your organization receive timely information on issues that concern you most- affordable housing, prevention, and benefits for at-risk and homeless people. Annually the Coalition keeps members informed of sweeping changes to the programs that affect your clients. The Coalition keeps members abreast of changes to income, housing and emergency programs, as they were being discussed, implemented, or defeated. Many of you regularly attended the Coalition’s membership meetings that take place throughout the state. These meetings have offered additional opportunities for you to gather information that allows you to be abreast of trends in programs that assist your clients. These meetings also offer the opportunity to network with colleagues working in the field and share information and advice. The input from those of you that attended has been incredibly valuable to the Coalition in helping to shape many of our legislative campaigns during the year. In recent years, more than 600 concerned citizens joined us for the Coalition's annual Legislative Day at the State House. The presence of that many people from across the state concerned about the issue of homelessness was very uplifting and gave us hope for finding solutions to this epidemic. Each budget year, the Coalition has offered comprehensive analyses of the state budgets on emergency assistance and housing accounts, giving you knowledge of how programs will be funded for the coming year. We know this is important information for you and your agency to have, and the Coalition is committed to ensuring that you receive it. To do this we need you to become a dues paying member. By becoming a dues paying member, you will continue to receive the above-mentioned information. You also will receive priority placement for our series of housing and shelter trainings. Your membership dues allow us to do this and much more. |
