Building Community, One Bed at a Time

May of 2026, the Lynnfield Rotary partnered with the Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless’ A Bed for Every Child program to host its Fifth Annual Build A Bed event at Lynnfield High School, bringing together volunteers, community members, and partners to support children across Massachusetts.

Since partnering with A Bed for Every Child in 2022, the event has grown significantly—from building 10 beds during its first year to a total of 118 beds built to date. This year alone, more than 100 volunteers gathered at Lynnfield High School to help build 30 complete beds for children in need across the community.

The energy throughout the event reflected the power of community-driven action, as individuals of all ages came together with one shared purpose: helping ensure that children have a safe and comfortable place to sleep. Through the continued support of volunteers, sponsors, and community partners, children across Massachusetts are receiving more than just a bed—they are receiving comfort, stability, and the opportunity for a better night’s sleep.
