Safe Beginnings
The Birth to Big Kid Initiative Tatiana Estrada was referred to the Birth to Big Kid Initiative during her pregnancy through East Boston Neighborhood Health Center. During her participation in the program, she received safe sleep education, essential infant items including a crib and sleep materials, and ongoing support both before and after her daughter’s birth. Prior to enrolling, Tatiana had never heard of safe sleep practices such as the ABC model for infant sleep safety.
